| This sculpture deals with a lack of communication and language skills. |

| A hearing mother is reaching for her daughter who she sees as going down the drain because of her desire to learn ASL. |
|
|
|
| The mother's non-communicative hand turns into a tree limb. The girl dreams and wishes into t he doll spiraling down a dark drain. |
|
|
|
| The mother is caught in a snow drift. Frozen language. Cold winter. |
|
|
|
| The young girl is rushing ever faster from the mother by the netting current. |
